How to Book Your Pet’s Stay

Booking your pet’s suite at Forest & Flock is easy:

Frequently Asked Questions

We know leaving your pet is a big decision. Our goal is to give you peace of mind by offering care that goes far beyond the basics. Here are some of the most common questions we’re asked about boarding at Forest & Flock:

Can I bring my pet’s own food and enclosure?

Yes! We encourage owners to bring their pet’s usual diet and favourite items to help them feel at home. We can also provide species-appropriate foods, fresh greens, and safe enrichment. For enclosures, many guests enjoy our purpose-built suites, but we’re happy to use your pet’s own setup if preferred.

How are pets monitored while boarding?

All guests receive twice-daily health and wellbeing checks by trained staff, with continuous monitoring throughout the day. Our team are skilled in recognising the specific health and behavioural indicators for each species. If any concern arises, we can act quickly — with veterinary care available on site or through our partner hospital, The Unusual Pet Vets in Flemington.

What if my pet requires medication or special care?

No problem. We can safely administer medications and provide nursing support, including more complex treatments. Because our staff are trained and experienced with exotic species, pets with ongoing medical needs can board with confidence.

What makes Forest & Flock different from other boarding services?

We are dedicated exclusively to exotic pets. Every guest is cared for under veterinary-led protocols by a team with extensive experience in birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. Our focus on hygiene, health screening, and emergency readiness means pets are not only comfortable but also in the safest possible hands during their stay.

Will I get updates while I’m away?

Yes — we know how much peace of mind matters. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates via email or SMS, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for.
